Our Philosophy

“Sit mens sana in corpore sano” – a healthy mind in a healthy body.

Wolfpack Boxing fills the demand for a different kind of workout that features cardiovascular conditioning, strength, and technical training, as well as self-discipline and self-defense. We are committed to hard and honest training for men, women, and teens with all skill and fitness levels. We know that getting in the ring is not for everyone, so whether your goal is to compete, or to achieve excellent physical conditioning, we will get you there.

Boxing VS Fighting:

Wolfpack Boxing focuses on teaching members the art/science of boxing - no bullies or 'tough guys' are tolerated.  Honesty, integrity, self discipline and sportsmanship are what count at Wolfpack Boxing.

Boxing requires many of the same traits used in fighting. While boxing will ultimately help you channel aggression into something positive, it’s important that you understand that at the end of the day, boxing will be a sport. Although it can be raw and violent, it also requires dedication and hard work.

The best reward in boxing is that it makes you a better person, not a better fighter.

At some point sooner or later, you’ll have to realize that boxing isn’t about fighting and that it just becomes a sport–albeit a really hard challenging sport, but still just a sport nonetheless.

Never Too Old! It used to be if you walked into a boxing gym over the age of 25, they figured you were there to sign up as a coach. Times have changed, not only in boxing, but also in the sports community as a whole - maybe because the culture of today places a much greater emphasis on physical fitness and sports due to all the research into health issues, or because more kids grow up in the city and suburbs and don't get exercise working the farm or doing chores...or maybe just because we have realized that turning 40 is hardly "over the hill."

In the professional arena, boxers like George Foreman, Julio Caesar Chavez and Bernard Hopkins have torn down the age limits of years ago. Amateur boxing divisions are set up to encourage athletes to keep training and competing well beyond their so-called prime.

In amateur boxing, the age break-down for the adult divisions are: Seniors (17-34) and Masters Division (35+). Once you are in the Masters' Division, you can never box anyone younger than 35 and your opponent can be no more than 10 years apart in age. To further decrease the chance of a mismatch in skill level, there are three categories based on experience: Sub-Novice (0-3 bouts), Novice (4-10 bouts), and Open (11+ bouts). To increase the safety, the Masters are required to get additional health exams based on their age.  Wolfpack Boxing has several Masters Division competition boxers on the team!

Whether your goal is fitness or more challenging competition…you are never too old. The Wolfpack Boxing Club team and members will make you feel right at home!
